This is one of those things which takes you completely by surprise. I met John G in the early days of Pcla not long after I joined and when we sent all our poems to each other through e-mail. John sent me this poem and I was so rapt, I wrote one for him and sent it back. He was a very nice and talented man.  These were written on about 11/6/2000.

I smell your vibes
a scent that thrives
on encouragement!

If only I
had realized
ten fold I would have sent!

To be alive
to stand aside
in full circumvent!

I too ride
don't be surprised
on your encouragement!
