~~~o0o~ Antique Postcards ~o0o~~~
About 15 years ago I was lucky enough to have come into my possession 82 postcards. Most of them are circa 1900 to 1915 and in exceptionally good condition considering their age.
I left them as original as possible while scanning so you can see the style and different mediums they used back in those far off days, which precluded the common greeting cards as we know them today.
The method they used to make most postcards left the pictures looking brown and the other colors were added by hand later. This explains why a lot of the cards from this era look darker in appearance and it's harder to see the fine detail. You may find it easier to adjust your brightness on your monitor if you're having a problem seeing them.
I've added as much detail  as I could find available on the card. Unfortunately not every card had the year written on them and the post mark is impossible to read. They came from the same batch and place so I'm guessing that the cards are all the same circa.
Quite a lot have still got their original postage stamps and it's interesting to read the message on their backs.
A special style to note is the lovely embossed cards which were very popular in those times of excitement as they welcomed in their own new century. The Embossed Postcard would have been the Rolls Royce of all cards.
I hope you enjoy my Antique Card Collection.
