No Regrets

An old man in a park
Perched alone on a bench seat
Smiling with grey saddened eyes
Asking everyone he meets....

Do you have any regrets?

He gazes off into the distance
Takes a stroll down his memory's pathway
And smiles .......
Crinkled eyes and deep, deep lines
Reflections on his face
I watch
As he stretches out his hand
To a ghost of his memory
And I wonder........

Do I have any regrets?

A quiet moment of reflection
I watch the lonely man
And I ponder.......
Will that be me in 50 years?
Keeping company with my memories?
Overwhelming feelings
Too hard to visualize
A thought materializes
And I speak......

I'm too young to have regrets.......
