Something awoke me but I didn't know what
Through half closed eyes I peered at my ceiling
Then my heart missed a beat and almost stopped
I tried to sit up but my body was stuck
Like glue to my bed and I could hear a strange sound 
Pulsating loudly through my head

My eyes opened wide
I wondered what I could see
Beams of silvery light
Were moving around above me
Like search lights in the sky
Glittering..... flitting, never standing still
My body turned as cold as ice
And I became rather scared
What is happening I wondered
I tried hard to move my head

From the corner of my eye
Almost beyond my vision
I could see an alien machine
It was the source of the light beams
And then I knew
I was a time traveller it seems..... an alien being
And I knew I must go back
I said a silent farewell
As I faded to black
